Foot shapes and proper footwear

Our feet are the foundation of our everyday lives.  Every good foundation must have the right support.

Foot shape includes different toe lengths compare to each other, and the overall foot shape (i.e. width, arch). We should all aware of our own foot shape, and choose the right types of shoes that work the best for our foot shape. 👣

Here are the following foot shapes of human:

1. Flat Foot (Pronation) – the foot rolls inward and flattens (pronates) with weight bearing, placing increased stress on the inner foot structures.

2. High Arched Foot (Supination) – the high arched foot tends to be a more rigid, less flexible foot with more weight borne on the outside part of the foot.

3. Neutral Foot – the neutral foot therefore provides a combination of shock absorption and stability at the appropriate times during walking or running. This is a more desirable foot structure.

4. Lesser toe deformities – do we have a claw, mallet, hammer or varus toe?

Well designed footwear is very important in order to reduce or if already there give enough space for your  lesser toe deformities.  The right shoe can help keep your feet healthy and your body safe from injury.

In addition, commonly suggested that the best time to buy shoes is later afternoons. Our feet can get slighted swollen in the afternoon, and it is the best time to fit shoes.
