The Sunday Sole: The “In-Between” Edition

We’ve reached that magical, blurry part of the year… You know the one where the days blend together, the fridge is full of leftovers and we finally get to kick off the party shoes and give our feet a well-deserved break!

As the holiday rush settles into a quiet hum, we hope you’re finding time to truly put your feet up.  After all the standing, shopping and celebrating, today is all about recovery and comfort.

Festive Foot Care Highlights

The Big Unwind: Swapping the formal heels and dress shoes for your most supportive slippers?  Your arches are already thanking you.

Winter Hydration: Cold air and indoor heating can lead to cracked heels.  Today is the perfect day for a little “at-home spa” moment — lather on a rich foot cream and pop on some cozy bamboo socks to lock in the moisture.

The Winter Walk: If you’re heading out for a crisp Sunday stroll, remember: thick / dual lined socks are great, but make sure your boots aren’t too tight. Your toes need wiggle room to maintain good circulation and stay warm.

Your 2026 Sole-ution

Forget the complicated resolutions. This year, let’s focus on one simple  Pro Tip: If you’ve been ignoring that “niggle” in your heel or a stubborn ingrown nail, make 2026 the year you prioritize your mobility. Healthy feet are the secret to staying active and happy!

Are you familiar with Linear Tyloma?

A pinch callus—also called a linear tyloma—is a pressure-related callus that forms as a narrow, linear band, and it can occur on any of the toes.

What it is

  • A mechanical hyperkeratosis (thickened skin from pressure/friction)

  • Caused by the toe being “pinched” between footwear and adjacent toes or bone

  • Not an infection and not a wart

Typical features

  • Linear or crescent-shaped thickened skin

  • Usually on the sides, tips, or dorsal aspects of toes

  • Skin is smooth, hard, and yellowish

  • Painful with pressure, relieved when pressure is removed

  • No black dots or interruption of skin lines (unlike warts)
